Spray Tanning

Top Tan Tips...
*Timing is everything
The ideal time for a spray tan is 2days prior to your event. Whilst solutions can vary in the time worn on the skin before rinsing the active ingredient DHA takes 16-24 hours to develop. The instant colour on your skin is an added bronzer and not always an indication of the resulting tan colour. This bronzer is rinsed off in the first shower, do not be alarmed this is not your tan washing away down the drain! Your beautiful tan will keep developing over the next day and two days after being sprayed your colour will be its most divine!
*Have a trial run
Don’t take any chances, make sure you have a trial spray tan at least one month before your wedding day. Take a photo of yourself with your tan after the trial. This way you will see what your skin will look like on your wedding photos. You may decide you want a lighter or darker tan than the resulting colour
*Do get a tan, ask for a glow
Dark tans do not look good with beautiful white wedding dresses, and can look very odd. For weddings, lighter is better. You want a colour that is a “golden glow”. The aim here is that all of your guests will be making comments on how radiant and healthy you look, not how great the fake tan is.
*Consider spray tanning all of your
If you are going to be tanned it really is worth considering having the whole wedding party spray tanned. If all (including groom and groomsmen) of your wedding party have a subtle tan, it may make all the difference to your photos (a pasty groom and a lovely golden bride might not look so wonderful!).

The Tan...

From the developer:
Our Bella Bronze Tan rapid signature solution is violet based, 14% DHA, fast drying, unscented, even fade, long lasting & organic!
We only have the one strength available as it can be tailored whatever depth of colour required, from wedding to competition colour.
This solution is suitable all skin types & was tested on all before production :)
I used Vani t for years and loved it but I found it wasn't suitable every skin type - I spent 12 months working closely with a lab in Victoria to create what I believe to be the best colour on the market.
Pre & Post Tan Care...
Prior to application:
*Exfoliate your body, paying attention to knees, elbows and ankles. This can be achieved by rubbing a damp soapy washer firmly over your skin paying attention to rough areas like elbows, knees, ankles and tops of feet.
*Shaving is best done the day before. Waxing should be done 48hours prior to tanning.
*The day of your tan DO NOT APPLY deodorants/moisturisers/perfumes/oils/makeup etc (as this forms a barrier on the skin and affects coverage).
*Wear loose dark clothing to your appointment. Disposable G-Strings are provided (or you can wear your own - preferably black)
*Wear your hair tied back, off the face and neck. Disposable caps are provided to protect your hair.
*If is threatening rain bring an umbrella and protective shoes to ensure even tanning.
During Tan Developing Time
*Refrain from anything that will cause you to sweat or get wet.
*Wear loose dark clothing
*Cover any furniture with a towel before sitting to prevent of the bronzer.
*If you are sleeping in your tan apply a moisturiser to your palms to prevent of the tan.
*** stock are all very fast drying solutions that will allow you to get dressed following application.
You will be advised at your appointment how long you need to allow the tan to develop to get the desired colour, this could be 1-4hrs or overnight after which the can be rinsed off, the colour will continue to develop over the following 24-48hour period.
After Tan Care
*Rinse tan off after recommended time in a short warm shower. Do not use body scrubs/lotions or soaps during your first shower.
*Rinse! DO NOT Rub the tan off. Just use your hands.
*Pat dry
*Use a moisturiser or tan extender daily after showering to extend the life of your tan.
*As your tan begins to fade, gently exfoliate to ensure even wear.
